Our artificial blooms are so lifelike, you'll have to do a double take just to make sure they're not the real deal. Plus, there’s no need to water, nurture or maintain, just a few of the many benefits of faux vs real.

And forget just spring, these babies stay fabulous 365 days a year! (psst… talking of ‘all year round’… why not check out our favourite ideas for winter flower arrangements too).

Lilacs

If you've ever caught a whiff of lilacs in the air, you know that spring has well and truly arrived. Whilst these artificial blooms may not smell (although you can check out our blog on how to make your artificial flower smell great) they are still like a romantic love letter to the season.

Ranunculus

Affectionately known as the "buttercup" for its radiant charm, our ranunculus is a unique alternative to the traditional rose or the perfect complement to it. Available in creamy hues or delicate rose tones, each stem boasts four captivating heads that bring instant elegance to any space.

How do you arrange a spring bouquet?

Arranging a bouquet is like creating a masterpiece with nature's paintbrushes! Here's a simple step-by-step guide to help you unleash your inner florist:

1. Gather your blooms & organise

First things first, gather your artificial spring flowers and foliage. Think tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, lilacs, and blossoms - whatever floats your floral boat! Then organise them into separate piles. For foliage, choose ferns, eucalyptus, or even faux moss for a woodland vibe.

2. Choose your vessel

Whether it's a classic vase, a rustic mason jar, or a quirky teapot, pick a vessel that speaks to your style and complements your blooms.

3. Bend and shape

Straighten out the leaves, and bend out the stems of each of your flowers and foliage to ensure your arrangement looks nice and full. By doing this you’ll be helping to make your artificial flowers look more real.

4. Build your base

Choose a centrepiece and work around it. Adding stems around the edges and twisting each time. Play around with height, colour, and shape until you find a layout that's just right. If you need to trim your artificial flower stems, you can find out how in our helpful article.

5. Add some variety

Mix things up by incorporating different types of flowers and foliage. Cluster similar blooms together for a cohesive look or scatter them throughout for a more eclectic vibe.

6. Don't forget the filler

Fill in any gaps with filler flowers like baby's breath, wildflowers, or even faux berries. These little accents add depth and dimension to your bouquet.

7. Enjoy your masterpiece

Voilà! Your spring artificial flower arrangement is ready to shine. Place it on your dining table, mantle, or anywhere that could use a pop of colour and cheer. Then sit back, relax, and bask in the beauty of your floral handiwork! Just remember to give it a dust from time to time to keep it fresh. How do you arrange fake flowers outside?

Arranging fake flowers outside can add a delightful pop of colour and charm to your outdoor space without the worry of wilting or maintenance. Here's our simple guide to help you arrange them like a pro:

1. Choose weather-resistant flowers

Opt for artificial flowers specifically designed for outdoor use. Look for UV-resistant and weatherproof materials that can withstand the elements without fading or deteriorating. Explore our outdoor flower collection to discover the whole range.

If you’re looking for inspiration, our guides to making an artificial diy window box and artificial diy patio planter might just be a great place to start!

2. Select a suitable container

Pick a container that complements your outdoor decor and provides stability for your arrangement. You can use planters, pots, baskets, urns, or even re-purpose old watering cans or crates for a whimsical touch.

3. Arrange for stability

To prevent your arrangement from tipping over in the wind, add weight to the bottom of your container with stones or sand. This will help anchor your flowers securely.

4. Consider height and proportion

Start by arranging the tallest flowers in the centre or back of the container to create height and visual interest. Then, gradually layer shorter flowers and foliage towards the front and sides for a balanced look.

5. Mix and match

Create depth and texture by mixing different types of flowers, foliage, topiary and filler. Consider incorporating a variety of colours, shapes, and sizes to add dimension to your arrangement.

6. Add filler and greenery

Fill in any gaps with faux greenery, grasses, or filler flowers to soften the edges and enhance the overall appearance. This will give your arrangement a more natural and organic feel.

7. Secure the arrangement

Once you're happy with the placement of your flowers, use floral wire or zip ties to secure the stems to the container or to each other. This will help keep your arrangement intact, especially during windy conditions.

8. Rotate and refresh

To prolong the lifespan of your outdoor arrangement, rotate it periodically to ensure even exposure to sunlight and weather. You can also refresh the arrangement by swapping out faded flowers or adding seasonal accents as desired.

9. Enjoy your outdoor oasis

Step back, admire your handiwork, and bask in the beauty of your outdoor oasis!

Everything you need to know

Our range of artificial single stem flowers is all designed for indoor use. Please don’t be tempted to use them outside because they could get damaged.

The only care your faux flower stems need is a little dust from time to time to keep them looking fresh. Aside from that, there’s no maintenance at all. 😀 Watch our video on cleaning your faux flowers below.

Aside from cleaning, just trim your faux flower stems using a pair of strong wire cutters so that they fit your vase and enjoy!

We have one of the best ranges of fake outdoor flowers and there’s something for every outside space in your garden.

If your garden suffers from sparse borders then our artificial flower bushes and shrubs could be perfect for you. These plants come on a spike and can be simply pushed into the ground. You can mix and match colours and textures to suit your style or the season. These flowering bushes can also be used in DIY artificial hanging baskets and outdoor planters.

For your patio, terrace or front porch area, we have a selection of gorgeous patio planters and faux window box troughs. These are stocked in a variety of different arrangements including foliage-only options.

For higher up spaces, our premium outdoor hanging baskets offer a beautiful pop of colour that doesn’t need dead-heading or watering during the summer months. We think these look especially great on either side of your front door.

There’s nothing worse than faux flowers that have faded in the sun. Sadly, due to their intricate detailing, it’s virtually impossible to create UV-stable artificial flowers.

That said, we don’t recommend using any UV protection sprays on your faux flowers. These acrylic sprays usually contain an absorbing chemical which may extend the lifespan of your flowers, but their effectiveness is debatable depending on the coverage. They can also leave a sticky finish, turning your flowers into a dust magnet!

Instead, try to keep your flowers out of direct sunlight if possible. If you’re planning to use them in a sunny windowsill, stick to pale colours and rotate your flowers so that any fading is distributed evenly.

For more info, read our guide to UV resistance.

If you have some more questions, or you just want to talk through the options, contact us here or give us a call on 0800 9777 589.
