Reviews & Questions

Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

The poppy stem measures 60cm tall, 12cm wide and has a stem length of 24cm. It has several soft green leaves, 1 realistic bud and 3 beautiful flowers, the largest having a diameter of 8cm.

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

The poppy stem is manufactured using top quality materials including premium silk and durable plastic. This gives it vivid red petals with a small splash of orange around the centre and an authentic looking stem with a soft coating for added realism. Just like the real thing, the inner petals are slightly closed while the outer petals lay flat.

Where should you put it?

We think the poppy stem looks best when used in a larger arrangement like our meadow bouquet. Alternatively, you could use the poppy alone in a posy vase for a simple pop of colour.

When the poppy stem arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. The poppy stem will arrive safely in a strong box. When your order arrives, open the box and remove the flowers.

  3. Cut to size
  4. The foliage on the poppy stem begins at 24cm high. It’s designed to sit around the rim of your vase but if this is too tall, the stem can be trimmed using strong pliers or wire cutters.

  5. Finishing Touches
  6. Once you’ve cut your stem you can arrange it into your existing bouquet or use it to create your own fabulous arrangement along with the rest for our single stems range.

What about ongoing maintenance?

You don’t need to water your poppy stem, but you will need to clean it every now and then to keep it looking authentic and remove any build-up of dirt. For more information, read our cleaning guide here.

Did you know?

The poppy blooms from mid-June through to October. They grow in a range of colours from yellow to pink and the average number of seeds per plant ranges from 10,000 to 60,000!
