Artificial plants perfect for your garden and outdoor use

Outdoor artificial plants are ideal for low maintenance gardens or gardeners because once they’re in position you can leave them be. Whether you’re using vibrant flower arrangements such as our pretty hydrangea, geranium tubs or our colour-filled artificial flower boxes, stunning trees like this spiral plant or artificial hedging, there’s no ongoing watering, pruning, deadheading or replanting to take care of. What’s more, your outdoor artificial plants will look absolutely fabulous all year round!

Our range of artificial plants for the garden are hand-picked from suppliers across the globe. We compare them against other artificial versions and their botanical counterparts to ensure they are both realistic and top notch quality.

All of the fake garden plants shown in this category are designed to be robust and durable in order to withstand the elements in the UK. We offer individual advice for each product on the product page regarding use and UV resistance so that you can buy with complete confidence.

Artificial outdoor plants

Create a fantastic low maintenance garden with our wide range of artificial outdoor plants. If you’re not particularly interested in gardening but like the idea of having stunning topiary like our artificial bay laurel tree or artificial boxwood triple ball tree then our range of (very) low maintenance outdoor plants could be for you.

Artificial plants can also be used outdoors as substitutes for particularly difficult or high maintenance plants such as which require hours of cultivation, hydrangeas which require gallons of water or lavender which spreads like wildfire once it becomes established.

Realistic plants, amazing quality

We source our UV stable artificial plants from a variety of suppliers around the world. We select plants based on their similarities to their botanical siblings, a range of quality indicators such as the use of natural wood stems as well as demanding the use of UV stable materials during the production process to ensure they are suitable for outside use.

Planting and potting your artificial garden plants

Our artificial outdoor plants will arrive in a variety of different containers. Trees generally come in a basic black pot which can be used as a base when repotting or planting into the ground. Our arrangements come in a ready to use premium plastic planter, while some of our bushes come on spikes which you will need to push into oasis or straight into the ground.

Each product will have individual potting instructions within their descriptions. Further tips and advice can be found in The Potting Shed.

Maintaining your outdoor artificial plants

Artificial outdoor plants require minimal ongoing maintenance, however we do have some handy tips which can help keep your artificial plant in tip-top condition for as long as possible.

Every now and then, use compressed air, a damp cloth or a paint brush to remove dust and debris from the plant. Even though they are outside this can still accumulate over a long period of time which can make the plant look tired.

Secondly, if the plant is in a sunny area rotate it regularly. This will ensure any gradual determination isn’t noticeable immediately.
