Everything you need to know

Topiary is renowned for being grand and elegant, but that comes at the price of being high maintenance.

Lush deep green foliage spirals upwards to create this beautiful towering cedar topiary. The faux-liage (see what we did there?) on our faux cedar spiral topiary tree is thick, full and UV stable to give you a realistic finish which never needs pruning, snipping, or even watering. No maintenance, no hassle!

If your gardening skills are a little below expert level, our artificial cedar spiral is the perfect choice if you still want that same classic style. 🌟

Available in four sizes from 90cm (3ft) to 175cm (about 6ft) , we're bound to have the right size tree for you. The best part is that unlike the real thing, our faux cedar spiral will never grow out of shape!

All measurements are taken from the ground to the top of the tree.

Our topiary trees are sold separately and will arrive in a box in one piece, with no parts to put together. If you purchase two, they should be boxed together so when they arrive please open your box to make sure the right number have been delivered.

This plant takes less than 10 minutes to arrange. There are no parts to put together, you'll just need to bend each branch out in turn to fill the space you have. You can spread out the plant as much or as little as you'd like.

If the leaves have any excess folds in they should drop out after a few days, but smoothing the leaves by hand will help. Add to a pot of your choice, slot into your space and you're all done. Easy peasy!

Standard delivery is £5 on orders up to £100 and free when you spend over £100 and takes 2 to 4 working days. Some locations may cost a little extra or take longer.

We wanted to replace live

"We wanted to replace live hydrangeas in pots flanking our entrance and we saw our son's cedar spirals and decided to imitate him, flattery and all that. We weren't sure which height to buy and nearly went for the 120 cm ones, but settled for the 90 cm ones so as not to overwhelm the entrance. That was the best choice. The plants arrived quickly and safely, and we selected two porcelain pots from the local garden centre, along with a couple of sacks of sharp sand. To stabilise the plants I embedded 7"plastic pots in the sand in the pots, then planted the cedars within the sand in the plastic pots. Put decorative stones on top of the sane then needed a trolley to move them to position - very heavy, which kept them grounded in the big storm next day. They look really good and I would certainly recommend them."

Our artificial trees are designed to be low faff for you, and they will be... trust us! Arranging the foliage sounds complex, but in this case, it's really just fixing up any foliage that was flattened in the box.

To do this, start at the bottom of your tree and gently work the foliage out. Remember that topiary is designed to be tight... so in other words, you don't need to do too much.

Our whole range of outdoor artificial topiary trees is UV resistant which extends their lifespan outside. However, there's still a couple of things you can do to ensure your new tree has a happy and long life.

If your tree is potted, rotate it from time to time to ensure any weathering happens evenly. During extreme weather like high winds or prolonged rainfall, try to protect your topiary. This can be moving it indoors or to a sheltered area or protecting it if it can't be moved.

The other, which applies to natural wood topiary trees, is to apply a stain to the base of the tree on an annual basis.

All of our faux topiary arrives in a plain black pot. This should be put into a slightly larger and more decorative pot when it arrives with you. This will increase stability and help the tree blend into its new home. We'll recommend some suitable pots as you browse our range of faux topiary trees.

Potting your tree is simple. You can read our full potting guide or follow these basic steps:

1. Select a pot, with drainage hole, which is slightly larger than the faux trees starter pot

2. Pop the tree into the pot and ensure it is straight

3. Fill around the pot with sand or soil and compact

4. Top off with decorative gravel
