Everything you need to know

Featuring real bamboo canes and plenty of two-tone green foliage, its lifelike appearance is one of the many reasons why our faux oriental bamboo is a best-seller!

Designed to enhance your space with the calming, carefree colour you'd expect from a faux bamboo. Simply take it out of the box, choose a spot in your home or garden and let our artificial oriental bamboo save you from all the hassle of pests, wilted leaves and disease that comes with the real thing.

Where this differs from most artificial bamboo trees is that it's also fabulous outside, with UV resistant, enduring green foliage to bring a lift to your garden. Use it as a statement plant or line a few up to create a green screen.

The artificial oriental bamboo is available in three sizes, from 120cm (4ft) up to 180cm tall (6ft). All measurements are taken from the ground to the top of the tree. You can raise the height by popping it in a pre-filled taller pot.

Other than a light dusting, there isn't really any ongoing care that you need to worry about. Just pop it in it's new home and relax!

If you're placing your artificial oriental bamboo outside, it's a good idea to rotate the plant every few months to spread any gradual weathering. We also recommend moving it out of harms way during extreme weather.

This plant takes less than 10 minutes to arrange. There are no parts to put together, you'll just need to bend each branch out in turn to fill the space you have. You can spread out the plant as much or as little as you'd like.

If the leaves have any excess folds in they should drop out after a few days, but smoothing the leaves by hand will help. Add to a pot of your choice, slot into your space and you're all done. Easy peasy!

Standard delivery is £5 on orders up to £100 and free when you spend over £100 and takes 2 to 4 working days. Some locations may cost a little extra or take longer.

Faster services may be available based on your location.

We'll keep you updated every step of the way, so you’ll always know when your gorgeous faux greenery is arriving.

Reviews

Just the Ticket

"Prompt delivery. Well packed and easier to ‘arrange’ than I’d expected. Looks real and is ideal for a corner of our patio. Planted in tub with 25 - 30kg of Scottish cobbles so not going to blow away. Admired by neighbours."

— J H. (5/5)

My husband brought 2uv outdoor

"My husband brought 2uv outdoor plants there great so I brought some indoor ones for my living wall. Omg there really good the bamboo one looks like my real outdoor one"

— Bridget S. (5/5)

This would look better outside!

"I ordered this for my hallway. It was well packaged but I was surprised to see how fake the leaves looked (so different to the Chamaedorea I ordered which looks so real). The bamboo just didn't look right in my hallway, it would be better outside on decking or a balcony. So I requested a refund and BA did this straight away - excellent customer service."

— Karen D. (5/5)

Not very convincing

"The tree isn't unattractive but it is far from convincing of the real thing. I wouldn't recommend it if you wanted top quality fakery."

— Emma T. (2/5)

Oriental Bamboo

"I purchased two of the bamboos for privacy in the garden. Came very quickly, were extremely well packaged and can’t fault the quality. They have had their first test against the wind and light drizzle and have stood up very well. Key is ensuring you pot up in line with instructions. Super pleased and would absolutely purchase again"

— Jayne L. (5/5)

The plant itself looks good.

"The plant itself looks good. The reason it gets 3. Is because the leaves fall off very easily. I would not purchase this plant again. Unless this improves,"

— Russell A. (3/5)

FAQs

We package our artificial trees nice and tight to keep them safe during delivery. It does mean they can appear a little compressed but don't fret, it's a quick and easy job to bring them to life...

Begin at the bottom of your bamboo and work your way up, pulling and adjusting the harder wired plastic stems into position. Then work open any closed bunches of leaves. If there are any small crinkles, these should drop out over the next week or so.

If you need a hand, give us a bell and we'll guide you, or have a read of our guide to arranging artificial plants.

These trees, along with most in our range, arrive in a small black starter pot. Help your new artificial tree fit into its new home by pairing it with a suitable plant pot (we'll offer up some perfect options when you add it to your basket).

This step will also add weight and stability. Potting your tree is quick, easy, and only ever needs to be done once.

1. Pick a suitable pot. Choose one with drainage if the plant is going outside.

2. Prefill the pot so that the starter pot sits just inside the top of the plant pot.

3. Pop the tree into the pot.

4. Fill around the starter pot with earth, sand, or decorative stones.
