Artificial areca palm

The areca palm, also sometimes known as the butterfly palm thanks to its iconic fronds, is a classic plant which will instantly give your space a tropical, relaxing feel.

Because our artificial areca palm has been specially designed to be UV stable, you can place it in direct sunlight without needing to worry about fading leaves.

This beautiful large faux palm, whether placed alone as a statement piece or grouped to form your own little tropical paradise, will completely refresh your space and create a striking, uplifting effect.

Best of all, because it's artificial, you get all of the benefits instantly with none of the maintenance! The faux areca palm is one of our best sellers with large green fronds in a range of sizes to suit your space.

The artificial areca palm is available in four sizes, from 120cm (4ft) all the way up to 190cm tall (6.3ft). All measurements are from the ground to the top of the palm once it has been arranged.

The best way to really rock-your-fronds (said no one ever!) is to gently arch the foliage out from the central stem. These palms are pretty tough, so you'll need to be quite firm.

Because our artificial areca palm is UV resistant, it can be placed anywhere indoors or outdoors. When it comes to potting or styling, simply treat it as you would a real plant.

Although it arrives in a pot, we recommend repotting it for added stability and so that you can achieve exactly the look you want. You may have a pot of your own in mind, or we have a range of pots to suit all tastes.

For a finishing touch, top off the pot with a little soil, sand and/or decorative stones. When it comes to creating your own little tropical paradise outside, you can use a pot or simply plant our fake areca palm directly into the ground. Then all you need to do is sit back and enjoy your new-found haven of exotic greenery.

The best thing about our artificial plants is that the latest technology has been used to ensure you get the highest quality, most lifelike fake plants delivered right to your door - and there's next-to-no maintenance involved.

Our areca palm has even been designed to be UV resistant so it can be placed in sunlight all year round without fading. If you're keeping your palm outdoors you don't need to do anything with it other than relax and enjoy it.

If your palm is going to be making a big impact indoors, we'd recommend giving the leaves the occasional dust so that you can enjoy your plant in all its exotic splendour.

This plant takes less than 10 minutes to arrange. There are no parts to put together, you'll just need to bend each branch out in turn to fill the space you have. You can spread out the plant as much or as little as you'd like.

If the leaves have any excess folds in they should drop out after a few days, but smoothing the leaves by hand will help. Add to a pot of your choice, slot into your space and you're all done. Easy peasy!
