Reviews & Questions

Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

Your tropical monstera hanging bush measures 55cm tall including the spike which is 10cm long. The width is approximately 25-30cm.

This trendy hanging plant would suit a smaller space in your home which is in need of some extra colour.

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

The monstera hanging bush features iconic glossy monstera leaves with traditional splits replicating the Swiss cheese plant. The leaves come in several shades of lighter and darker green which mimic new growth for added realism. We’ve compared the foliage, shape and size of this faux plant to its botanical counterpart to make sure it looks real.

Where should you put it?

Our hanging monstera bears the name of the monstera monkey mask which prefers high humidity not often found in a typical UK home. It can be tricky to get the right light as too much will damage the leaves and too little will slow down its growth.

The artificial hanging monstera bush is the perfect alternative. Add it to your floral arrangements for texture, put it in a standalone planter and cascade it down a shelf or use it alone in a hanging planter for your own cool faux feature that provides extra greenery to your home décor.

This faux plant is designed for indoor use only for more information on what this means, read our Ultimate guide to UV resistance here.

When the monstera hanging bush arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. Your artificial monstera bush will arrive safely and securely in a strong cardboard box. When your order arrives, open the box and remove the plant.

In the unlikely case that your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible.

  3. Plant
  4. The faux monstera hanging bush features a small plastic spike, making it simple to plant in your arrangement. All you need to do is insert the spike into your potting medium and you’re done. It really doesn’t get any easier than that!

What about ongoing maintenance?

A natural monstera plant requires regular watering, feeding and pruning, to keep it in shape as it grows older. Our artificial monstera hanging bush is a simple alternative which removes the hassle high maintenance and allows you to get on with more exciting things.

The only thing you may need to do is clean the leaves with a damp cloth to remove any build-up of dirt or debris and keep the leaves glossy.

Did you know?

The monstera plant, most commonly known as the Swiss cheese plant, lives in the dark understorey of tropical rainforests in Mexico, Central America and Columbia. It gets its name from the distinctive holes that lace its leaves which resemble the holes in Swiss cheese. Plenty of research has gone into why the monstera has these holes with some suggestions pointing to better temperature regulation and camouflage.
