Everything you need to know

As a faux creation, the colour dispersion that makes the variegated monstera such a friendly-faced giant is always guaranteed to be gorgeous! This means that, unlike the real thing where you could plant yourself a baker’s dozen and still not get the shading just right, our artificial variegated monstera is a certainty to make you smile.

Say sayonara to spider mites and au revoir to aphids. With the real thing, these predatory pests could turn this holey beauty into Swiss cheese. πŸ§€ Our artificial variegated monstera is a tough lad though and no amount of odious insects could ever steal its shine!

Speaking of holes, our artificial variegated monstera won’t leave one in your wallet! The variety of the real thing means that it’s always a pricy purchase (that’s if you can even find one!) Thankfully, our equivalent is in plentiful supply which means both a lower price and a happier home for you.

Most plants arrive in a simple black pot. We suggest popping this into a more decorative one. This increases stability and helps the plant blend into your interior.

  • Find a pot a little bit larger than the starter pot

  • Pre-fill the pot with earth or sand if the pot is too deep

  • Put the plant into the pot and fill around the starter pot

  • Top off with decorative stones

For full guide, read our guide to potting artificial plants.

What care? With no special dietary requirements or demands for sunlight, you can sit back and relax. All we suggest is giving the leaves a light dusting from time to time with a damp cloth.

To maximise the plants lifespan, we don’t recommend using it outdoors. It’s not UV protected, so may fade, discolour or not get on well with high winds.

For tips on cleaning your faux plant, check out our video below or read our full cleaning guide.

Keeping your faux plant in tip top shape needn’t be a chore. Once in a while, just run a duster over the leaves. Start from the top and work your way down. If there are any stubborn marks or debris, wipe them with a damp cloth.

In the natural world the eye-catching green/white shading is actually caused by a chlorophyll deficiency πŸ€’
