Reviews & Questions

Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

The artificial bird of paradise is 110cm tall. This measurement is taken from the top of the foliage to the bottom of the pot once the foliage has been fully arranged. The width is approximately 70cm.

Your bird of paradise will arrive professionally potted in a small black pot. We recommend re-potting this into something larger and more decorative. Choose from our range of medium-sized planters here.

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

The bird of paradise is made from high quality polyethylene plastic which gives it an unbelievably realistic look. It features three iconic bird of paradise flowers that sprout from several large deep green leaves.

Where should you put it?

The bird of paradise tree is designed for indoor use. Your bird of paradise would look best in a bright room such as your conservatory or adding interest to a large corner of your home. It’s perfect for providing colour and greenery in a dull space and is sure to catch the eye of everyone it meets.

When the bird of paradise arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. This stunning artificial plant will arrive wrapped safely and securely in strong packaging. The pot and foliage may be wrapped in additional packaging which should be recycled.

If your bird of paradise arrives damaged, please let us know as soon as you can.

  3. Arrange
  4. Your new faux plant may require some arranging to help it look its best. The foliage will have been packed tightly to keep it secure in transit and may need to be straightened out. The best method for this is to gently open out each leaf until you have achieved your desired look. You can use our product photos as guide to help you complete this step. For more information, check out our video guide to arranging your artificial plants here.

  5. Add finishing touches
  6. To complete the look of your new addition, you should re-pot the bird of paradise into a more attractive planter. This will help it blend into your existing home décor and provide it with more stability. You can use one of your own pots or choose from our range of high quality plastic planters here. To re-pot your bird of paradise, place your starter pot into your new larger planter, fill in the edges with soil, sand or expanding foam and top off with decorative stones. For more guidance, video potting guide here.

What about ongoing maintenance?

The bird of paradise is as low maintenance as it gets! Once it’s in position you’ll only need to dust it occasionally which can easily become part of your normal cleaning routine. This will keep it looking realistic and prevent any build-up of dirt. For more information on how to clean your artificial plants, check out our cleaning guide here.

Did you know?

The bird of paradise is one of the most recognised exotic plants. Named for its flowers which resemble birds in flight, the bird of paradise symbolises freedom, beauty and magnificence. It grows best in tropical environments, not found in the UK, and takes 3-5 years to mature. Fortunately our artificial replica will look fantastic wherever you decide to use it in your home.
