Botanically called buxus, boxwood is a genus of 70 species in the family buxacaea that are native to parts of Europe, Asia, America and Africa. Boxwood is a slow growing evergreen plant growing around 2-12 metres tall. It’s commonly grown for hedges and shaped topiary.
