Potted plant on a white surface with a pink wall background

Our flower arrangements including bouquets and bunches arrive without a vase. You can purchase one alongside your order or use an existing vase you already own. You can find our range of vases here.

Some other stunning arrangements like our blume orchid arrive as pictured in a Scandi style cement planter. Other small flowering plants will arrive in a standard starter pot ready to be potted into something more decorative.

The joy of faux is the lack of maintenance, right? Our floral arrangements are hassle free and are designed to last, but there’s still a few things you can do to help them look as fresh as possible for years to come.

  1. Limit their outdoor use
These beauties aren’t designed for outdoor use, but occasionally putting them on an outdoor table to dress it for outdoor eating or parties won’t hurt. We do not recommend leaving them on windowsills for too long as they may discolour over time.
  2. Keep them clean
Dust and dirt is the enemy of real and fake plants alike. Keep your fauxs clean with a damp cloth or wet wipe. For more intricate designs such as our bouquets, take them outside and give them a blast with compressed air to blog the dust away. You can find our full guide to keeping flowers clean here.

Artificial flower arrangements are designed to last for as long as you love them. That’s right. If cared for, they’ll sit happily in your home for years to come.

If you want to switch things up, you can always pop them in a box, store them and pop something else in their place for a while too, or, if you are finished with them donate them to charity or sell them via a reselling platform like Vinted.

Our range of artificial single stem flowers are all designed for indoor use. Please don't be tempted to use them outside because they could get damaged.

The only care your faux flower stems need is a little dust from time to time to keep them looking fresh. Aside from that, there's no maintenance at all. 😀 For help with this, see our guide to cleaning faux flowers.

Aside from cleaning, just trim your faux flower stems using a pair of strong wire cutters so that they fit your vase and enjoy!

Each stem in your bouquet has an internal wire which is coated in plastic. Depending on the stem, this wire can be fairly lightweight or pretty thick. Thicker wires can be slighter harder to cut.

1. Measure the height of your vase.

2. Take the vase measurement and measure from the bottom of the flowers and foliage area towards the bottom of the stem.

3. Mark the measurement and cut any remaining stem off.

4. If in doubt, leave the stems a little longer. You can always trim them again.

To cut the stems, we recommend using strong wire cutters. If you don't have any of these to hand use pliers or scissors to score the plastic. Then bend them one way, then the other, which will weaken the wire to the point it breaks cleanly.

For more help, read our guide on trimming artificial flower stems.

Scissors usually aren't strong enough to cut through the internal wire in our faux flower stems, especially those of our flowers that have particularly thick wires.

Instead we recommend using a strong pair of pliers or wire cutters to trim your stems. See our guide on how to cut faux flower stems.

Usually all you need to accompany a bouquet is a vase and some water to keep them going. Things are a little different with artificial bouquets...

We choose our flowers based on their realism and to do this most include an internal wire so that you can bend it into a natural position. The only downside is that the wire can rust when exposed to water. Here are some alternative options:

Leave your vase empty. There's nothing wrong with leaving your vase empty and just sitting your bouquet inside on its own.

Use beads to hide the fact that there's no water and mask the stems.

Secure the stems permanently with resin. It's a gel that looks just like water and holds the flowers neatly in place. Be careful as resin is permanent so you'll be sacrificing your vase. Also make sure you pick a resin with UV stabilisers to stop it turning yellow in the sun.

Wanting to switch things up from your classic vase? Here are some of our upcycling vase options.

Wine bottles, pitchers or kitchen glassware

Repurposing old glassware, like wine bottles or old pitchers, can be a minimalistic, eco-friendly option for displaying your faux florals. This vase alternative can look particularly stylish and effortless in kitchen and dining spaces.

Teapots or tea tins

Reusing old or second hand teapots as vases can be a quaint alternative to a traditional vase. These can style nicely on coffee tables and small side tables - depending on the size of your teapot. Don't throw out your empty tea tins! You can repurpose your old tea tin into a faux planter too. These small but beautiful vase alternatives are perfect for adding a pop of interest to a kitchen shelf or worktop.

Tin can

Wanting something more rustic or industrial? Why not try repurposing an old, empty can! As cans may have rough inner edge, we recommend filing the inner lip of the can before washing it out to blunt the sharp edge to prevent injury. If the plain tin can vase isn't for you, why don't you try decorating it. Tin cans are incredibly versatile and can be decorated (and covered) in many ways, from painting to wrapping in string or twine. Whatever, your style, there is sure to be a decorative can craft for you.

Watering can or bucket

Indoor outdoor living is becoming increasingly popular and trendy... Bring some of those outdoor elements inside by repurposing a watering can or tin bucket. These fun farmhouse vase alternatives can easily style up any shelf or side table or why not make a statement, and go for a large tin bucket to be the centrepiece of your dining table!

Pumpkins, watermelons or other large fruit & veg

Feeling seasonal? Why not try this decompostable vase alternative. Simply cut a hole in the top of your fruit or vegetable of choice and stand your faux bouquet inside. If your artificial flowers have flocked or material stems, you may wish to stand them into a vase or other vessel first and cut a hole in your chosen fruit or veg to fit the size of it. Show your spooky side with a pumpkin vase, or say hello to summer with a watermelon vase. Remember: this is a great no waste option if you have already hollowed out a fruit or vegetable to bake with!
