Reviews & Questions

Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

The onion grass is available in three sizes: 46cm, 60cm and 80cm.This measurement is taken from the bottom of the starter pot to the top of the foliage when fully arranged. The width increases from 25-40cm depending on the size, making it suitable for a small to medium space in your home.

The onion grass will arrive in a small, basic starter pot which we recommend re-potting into something larger and more decorative to improve the overall look and increase the plants stability. Choose from our range of decorative planters here..

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

Our onion grass features several different hues from green to yellow to pull off a natural look. It looks even more realistic when grouped with other plants (either real or fake) into a beautiful arrangement which brightens your home decor.

Where should you put it?

This stunning faux grass is designed for indoor use only and isn’t UV protected, therefore we don’t recommend using it outside. Use it on window ledges, shelves or among your other plants for the most natural look.

When the onion grass arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. Your onion grass will arrive with you safely and securely in strong packaging. The pot and foliage may be wrapped in additional protection. When your onion grass arrives, remove the packaging and recycle as much as possible. If your order arrives damaged, please let us know as soon as you can.

  3. Arrange
  4. Your onion grass will only require a small amount of arranging. Some of the fronds may have been packed tightly and might need to be straightened out. This is simple and it should only take a couple of minutes to fix. You can find out more information on how to do this by watching our video guide here.

  5. Add finishing touches
  6. Re-potting your artificial grass is the perfect finishing touch. Choose from our range of premium plastic pots or use one you have at home. Potting your onion grass is simple and it only takes a few minutes to get it looking its best. Place your onion grass and starter pot into your new planter, fill around the edges with sand or soil, top off with decorative stones and you’re good to go!

What about ongoing maintenance?

Your new faux grass won’t need any watering, feeding or pruning but it might need a quick dust once in a while. Aside from the occasional clean, your onion grass is ready to look amazing all year round!

Did you know?

Even though onion grass is considered a weed, it’s actually edible and unsurprisingly has a distinctive smell similar to onion. Onion grass can affect natural plant growth in your garden as it spreads rapidly which can make it difficult to remove from your garden. It’s also toxic to pets and can cause serious health issues.
