If your garden suffers from sparse borders then our artificial flower bushes and shrubs could be perfect for you. These plants come on a spike and can be simply pushed into the ground. You can mix and match colours and textures to suit your style or the season. These flowering bushes can also be used in DIY artificial hanging baskets and outdoor planters. For your patio, terrace or front porch area, we have a selection of gorgeous patio planters and faux window box troughs. For higher up spaces, our premium outdoor hanging baskets offer a beautiful pop of colour that doesn't need dead-heading or watering during the summer months. We think these look especially great on either side of your front door.

Putting a lifespan on any outdoor artificial plant is really tricky and these outdoor arrangements are probably the hardest because the foliage is delicate and less able to withstand the elements.

In our experience, the answer is between one and three years. If your arrangement doesn't last at least a year, get in touch.

Determining the lifespan comes down to a whole host of factors such as location, amount of sun it's exposed to, humidity, and more. There's lots more information about UV protection on our dedicated blog here.

Each stem in your bouquet has an internal wire which is coated in plastic. Depending on the stem, this wire can be fairly lightweight or pretty thick. Thicker wires can be slighter harder to cut.

1. Measure the height of your vase.

2. Take the vase measurement and measure from the bottom of the flowers and foliage area towards the bottom of the stem.

3. Mark the measurement and cut any remaining stem off.

4. If in doubt, leave the stems a little longer. You can always trim them again.

To cut the stems, we recommend using strong wire cutters. If you don't have any of these to hand use pliers or scissors to score the plastic. Then bend them one way, then the other, which will weaken the wire to the point it breaks cleanly.

Faux flower arrangements are virtually timeless. With no water or feeding required, these fantastic faux flowers won't wilt or turn brown after just a few weeks.

Faux flower arrangements are both beautiful and need zero maintenance. However there are still a couple of things you can do to keep them looking fresh for years to come.

1. Don't use them outside

These flowers may be pretty but they're not designed for outside use. We'd also recommend not siting them on windowsills for long periods of time.

2. Keep them clean

Dust is the enemy of artificial flowers and is a tell-tale sign of faking it. Fortunately, fauxs are easy to clean with a damp cloth or wet wipe.
