Everything you need to know

Our faux wild rose stem is approx 68cm tall. Using some wire cutters, you can easily trim down the height of this stem to suit any vase.

Our bouquets arrive pre-arranged and handtied by our inhouse florist - Amy. However if you'd like to re-organise it's easy to do.

  1. Start off by laying your stems out in groups of similar colours and flower types, then bend out the leaves and flowers so that the foliage is nicely spread out.
  2. Choose a centrepiece or focal point and build the rest around it. Holding the first stem in your hand, begin adding more stems by laying three or four stems diagonally over the top of each other. Then twist your hand, add another layer of flowers and keep repeating.
  3. Use any larger leaves to frame the outside of your arrangement. Sometimes the flowers in the middle can get a little lost, so you may need to pull them up so that you get a nice arch.
  4. Keep adjusting your bouquet until you’re happy. If you want to add any stems to the middle, simply loosen your grip and push them in. Next, tie your arrangement with string or ribbon and sit your arrangement beside your vase to see if you need to trim the stems to fit your container. You'll need secateurs to cut most of our stems.
  5. Finally add your bouquet to your vase and admire!

Artificial Rose Stem

"The roses and front of the leaves look staggeringly good. You actually need to touch them to know they are artificial. The stem and the backs of the leaves are not quite as good and the new shoot at the top is pretty awful. So just snip off the new shoot and because you don't really see the stem and the back of the leaves in a display anyway you've got a great value product. Would definitely buy again."

The easiest way to trim the stems of your faux flowers is with strong wire cutters. If you don't have strong cutters to hand, the next best option is to cut the plastic casing down to the metal and then bend it back and forth until it snaps, much like you would with a paperclip!

Read our step by step guide on how to trim faux flowers stems.

Care? Going faux is the easy way. There's no need to water, feed, prune or replace them every fortnight. They'll never wilt or turn brown, instead you'll have lasting classy colour in your home.

The only thing you will need to do is occasionally clean them using a wet wipe or damp cloth to remove any build-up of dirt or debris. For in-depth help on, see our full guide on how to clean faux flowers.

Our range of artificial single stem flowers are all designed for indoor use. Please don't be tempted to use them outside because they could get damaged.

The only care your faux flower stems need is a little dust from time to time to keep them looking fresh. Aside from that, there's no maintenance at all. 😀 For help with this, see our guide to cleaning faux flowers.

Aside from cleaning, just trim your faux flower stems using a pair of strong wire cutters so that they fit your vase and enjoy!

Scissors usually aren't strong enough to cut through the internal wire in our faux flower stems, especially those of our flowers that have particularly thick wires.

Instead we recommend using a strong pair of pliers or wire cutters to trim your stems. See our guide on how to cut faux flower stems.

If this stem isn’t the perfect match, don’t worry - we’ve got plenty more to explore. You can browse our full range of artificial flower stems and foliage to find the right colour, length, and style for your arrangement.
