Reviews & Questions

Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

The creeping fig measures 85cm tall including the 6cm plastic spike. The overall width at the widest point is 22cm.

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

This artificial hanging plants beautiful greenery consists of long intertwining vines with two-tone spear shaped leaves. We really don’t think you’ll be able to tell the difference against natural greenery, especially when displayed in a decorative planter.

Where should you use it?

The creeping fig makes an excellent artificial trailing plant. We recommend putting it in a stylish pot and trailing down a shelf or window ledge. You can also put it in a hanging planter and trail down from your ceiling for a contemporary display.

When the creeping fig arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. When your order arrives, open the cardboard box, remove your plant and any additional packaging and recycle where possible. We pack all of our artificial plants tightly to keep them safe in transit. This means that the foliage on your creeping fig may need to be fluffed out upon arrival.

In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible.

  3. Plant
  4. This faux hanging greenery comes on a 6cm plastic spike designed to make is easy to plant into your potting medium. Simply push the spike into soil, sand, oasis or stones and fluff out the foliage until you’re happy.

What about on-going maintenance?

A natural creeping fig needs plenty of attention to ensure it doesn’t grow out of control. It will also need feeding once a month, re-potting every two years and a trim of its roots to keep it in check. As a faux, there’s no need to bring out your watering can and you can put away that plant feed! Instead your artificial creeping fig will only need dusting occasionally to keep it looking its best.

For more information, read our guide to cleaning artificial plants.

Did you know?

Creeping fig or climbing fig as it’s also known, is native to East Asia and naturalised parts of the south eastern and south-central United States. It attaches itself to trees and structures using its tendrils which can cause damage to buildings.
