As an eye-catching plant our gorgeous sansevieria will look beautiful on a table or windowsill, or you could also try it in the kitchen if you want something a little more contemporary than flowers.
Also known as ‘Mother-in-Law’s tongue’, ‘viper’s bowstring hemp’ and ‘sansevieria zeylanica’, although ‘snake plant’ seems to be the most common name. Probably because it’s far easier to say and its leaves have such an amazing snakeskin-like pattern.
This fab faux sansevieria is native to Africa, Madagascar and Southern Asia and comes under the plant family Asparagaceae, along with the tasty garden asparagus!
The real version has a sting in the tail and it’s toxic to pets!
Our artificial plants are made from high quality, durable materials like polyethylene plastic, steel, natural wood, polyester and latex. This may seem like an eccentric mix, but each has a specific purpose to ensure the plant looks natural and has a long life.
What care? With no special dietary requirements or demands for sunlight, you can sit back and relax. All we suggest is giving the leaves a light dusting from time to time with a damp cloth.
To maximise the plants lifespan, we don’t recommend using it outdoors. It’s not UV protected, so may fade, discolour or not get on well with high winds.
