Everything you need to know

Popular in homes and businesses, our fake musa basjoo banana tree is quite the statement at a whopping 240 cm tall. And thanks to the realistic wood coating on the trunk, no one will be able to tell it’s not real – even close up.

Position it wherever you want and its zero-maintenance beautiful green leaves will bring a feeling of uplifting sunshine into your space every day - whatever the weather.

What care? With no special dietary requirements or demands for sunlight, you can sit back and relax. All we suggest is giving the leaves a light dusting from time to time with a damp cloth.

To maximise the plants lifespan, we don’t recommend using it outdoors. It’s not UV protected, so may fade, discolour or not get on well with high winds.

These trees, along with most in our range, arrive in a small black starter pot. Help your new artificial tree fit into its new home by pairing it with a suitable plant pot (we’ll offer up some perfect options when you add it to your basket).

This step will also add weight and stability. Potting your tree is quick, easy, and only ever needs to be done once.

1. Pick a suitable pot. Choose one with drainage if the plant is going outside.

2. Prefill the pot so that the starter pot sits just inside the top of the plant pot.

3. Pop the tree into the pot.

4. Fill around the starter pot with earth, sand, or decorative stones.

If the musa basjoo tree isn’t right for your space or you simply want something even more exotic, maybe one of these artificial exotic plants will fit the bill. Shop our range of exotic faux plants here.

A spirit named Nang Tani haunts wild banana plants in Thai folklore, so it’s considered a bad omen to cut them. Spooky 👻.
