Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

The artificial phoenix palm tree is available in two sizes: 200cm and 250cm tall. The width ranges from approximately 120cm – 150cm depending on the size you choose and how you arrange the foliage. This tree will require some self-assembly as the trunk and foliage are packed as two separate pieces, making the tree easier to move.

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

The phoenix palm tree features long arching fronds each with long sword-like leaves. The trunk is manufactured using durable top quality plastic and coated with coir at the point where the stem meets the foliage for added realism. We’ve carefully compared the foliage, shape, size and colour against its natural counter-part to ensure it looks botanically accurate.

Where should you put it?

The phoenix palm is designed for indoor use. Pot it up into a large decorative planter and use it in your conservatory, hallway or lounge for an everlasting display of tropical beauty.

When the phoenix palm tree arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. Your phoenix palm tree will arrive securely packed into a strong cardboard box. It will arrive in three separate pieces and the pot will be wrapped in additional protection to keep it safe during transit. When your order arrives, open the box and remove your tree.

In the unlikely event that your palm arrives damaged in any way, please let us know as soon as possible.

  3. Arrange
  4. Having the trunk and foliage packed separately makes this artificial tree much easier to move. To arrange your tree you will firstly need to slot the top part of the trunk, coated in coir, into the main trunk, then you will need to insert the foliage into the hole at the top of the trunk. Once this is done, you may notice that the foliage is slightly bunched together. This is because of how it’s been packed to keep it safe. To remedy this, simply bend out each frond until it forms a gentle arch. You can then smooth out any creases in the leaves with your hands to reveal your new beautiful palm tree.

  5. Finishing touches
  6. This artificial phoenix palm tree will arrive pre-potted into a small black pot. We strongly recommend that you re-pot it into something larger and more decorative which will add stability to the tree and help it blend into your home décor. You can use your own pot or choose from our range of premium plastic planters here.

To re-pot your tree, simply put the tree and starter pot into your new planter, fill in any gaps with sand, soil or stones for extra weight and top off with some decorative stones or similar potting medium. For more information on how to do this, watch our video guide here.

What about ongoing maintenance?

The best thing about the phoenix palm tree is the lack of maintenance needed to keep it looking amazing. It doesn’t need watering or feeding, the only thing it may need is a quick dust from time to time.

Did you know?

Palm trees have been dated over 5000 years where they were used as a source of food, shelter and tools. Romans used palm fronds as symbol of victory while they represent peace in Judaism and Christianity.
