Reviews & Questions

Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

The paradise palm is available in five different sizes ranging between 90cm / 3ft and 180cm / 6ft. The sizes typically jump in 20-25cm increments to ensure there is a palm to suit your space. The measurement is taken from the ground to the very tip of the foliage one the plant has been arranged.

The paradise palm isn’t UV stable, there we only recommend using this tropical plant indoors. If you are looking for a similar style outdoor palm tree have a look at the outdoor artificial areca palm shown here.

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

This artificial palm tree is a fantastic replica of a natural palm tree while maintaining a reasonably low price point.

The paradise palm fronds are a mixture of light and dark green to mimic new and more established growth. Each frond is formed from a semi-rigid plastic stem which supports a softer polyester leaf system.

As always, we display a large number of independent customer review and customer images on our product pages so you can see what others think of this item. These reviews are genuine and cannot be hidden or edited by our team.

Where should you put it?

The paradise tropical palm tree is one of the most flexible plants in terms of use because of the sheer variety of sizes it is available in. Customers typically use the palm in bathrooms, hallways and living area for a relaxing vibe, while corporate customers tend to add them to reception areas for a more tropical feel.

There is an image slider above containing real images from our customers. See how they’re using their paradise palm for even more inspiration!

When the paradise palm tree arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. Your paradise palm will arrive safely and securely wrapped in a strong cardboard box. When it arrives remove all of the packaging and inspect the item. In the unlikely event there is damage, please let us know as soon as possible.

  3. Arrange
  4. The paradise palms will be delivered to you in an upright position and therefore won’t look like the arching palm you see in our product images. Don’t be alarmed, it only takes a few minutes of arranging to bring your new faux to life!

To arrange your new paradise palm, simply bend the hard plastic branches so that they are a gentle curve or arch. You can be quite firm with the fronds – they won’t break. Once all of the fronds have been arranged, step back and review the plant. You may need to adjust some branches again until you get the desired appearance. For more guidance watch our short video guide.

  5. Add finishing touches
  6. All of the artificial paradise palms will arrive potted into a plain black starter pot. To improve the final appearance and to massively increase the stability of the product, we suggest replanting this into a larger plant pot. To do this, simply place the tree inside the new pot, fill around the starter pot with earth and then cover with decorative stones or slate.

What about ongoing maintenance?

The key benefit of artificial palm trees is their low maintenance qualities. Unlike a natural palm tree which requires the right amount of light, watering, feeding and repotting, your artificial addition asks for very little. Once it’s in situ and potted into a decorative container of your choice all it will need is an occasional dust or wipe with a slightly damp cloth.

Did you know?

Botanical name dypis lutescens, the paradise palm is member of the areacaceae family. Native to Madagascar, the paradise palm tree is now found in the Andaman Islands, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. A natural paradise palm tree can grow to around 20 – 39ft. One of its common names ‘butterfly palm’ refers to the fronds that curve upwards in multiple stems to create a beautiful butterfly look.
