Useful Information

Arranging the Palm Fronds

Our range of palms and exotic faux plants are delivery safely and securely in strong cardboard boxes. Once you’ve removed the plants from the boxes, the next step is to spend a few minutes arranging the fronds. Some palms can be stubborn - so be quite firm until you achieve the desired look.

For tips and advice please watch our short how to arrange foliage video guide.

Potting your Palm

Our artificial exotic palm trees will arrive pre-potted into a basic black pot. This starter pot is designed to act as a base for replanting the product into a larger, more decorative planter. We recommend repotting our palm tree to improve the overall appearance of the product and its stability too!

For potting tips, watch our short video guide here.

Cleaning and Maintenance

One of the perks of buying faux palms is they need neither the environment nor the nurturing of their natural siblings. To keep your palm looking its best, we do recommend giving it a quick clean from time to time.

Cleaning artificial palms is quick and easy. Watch our short how to guide here.

Why Choose Tropical Palm Plants

Our artificial palm trees are extremely realistic and designed to be botanically accurate. The silk leaves, commonly referred to as fronds, are delicate to the touch but are reinforced with polyester and wire. This also means that each leaf is malleable so you can create a totally unique look.

Not only do we spend time making sure that our artificial palm trees achieve brilliantly realistic features, but we also keep an eye on our prices to make sure that we are competitive. We use a range of suppliers to find the finest artificial foliage, manufacturing processes and most importantly, the best prices for our customers.

Quality Palm Trees

Each of our palm trees are made using high quality materials. Each material has a specific purpose to ensure the plant looks fantastic and have a long lifespan. We also check the foliage, stems and flowers of each tree and compare them against their natural counter-parts to ensure they are as realistic as possible.

Most of our palms and exotic plants aren’t UV stable. Therefore we do not recommend putting them outside because the foliage may fade or discolour. If you would like a UV stable palm tree, check out our outdoor areca palm tree.

For more information on using plants outdoors, read our guide on UV resistance.

Wide Range

We stock a palm tree for every interior style. Whether it’s our popular cheese plant or tropical parlour palm , you’re bound to find something that will suit your home décor. Our palm tree section also features more exotic, statement trees like the beautiful lotus tree.

The most popular palm trees have been recreated in artificial form and if you ever change the design of your home or get bored of their style, you can simply swap them out for something different. Store them away and when you bring them back out, they’ll still look the same way they did when you first opened the box.

Low maintenance

Growing traditional palm trees in the UK climate is almost impossible. Not only do they require constant humidity and high temperatures but they’re also very hungry plants. If they don’t find sufficient nutrients they will yellow and become lethargic, leaving them susceptible to diseases and other problems. They also have a different nutrient requirement to most plants, so specific fertilisers are produced just for palm trees which can be more expensive.

Instead, our faux palm trees only need to be taken out of the box and arranged until you’re happy with their appearance. After that, you can leave them to look beautiful all year round, never having to worry about watering or feeding!
