Reviews & Questions

Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

The artificial monstera vine is 150cm tall and approximately xxcm wide. As with all our artificial tropical plants, it comes pre-potted in a black starter pot measuring xxcm tall by xxcm wide. We strongly recommend that you re-pot it into something more decorative to finish off the look.

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

The monstera deliciosa plant naturally creeps up other plants to find the most light. Our monstera vine perfectly replicates this with larger and smaller waxy monstera leaves sprouting from a highly realistic trunk. The foliage comes in several shades of green as the real monstera would and younger leaves are shown growing towards the bottom of the plant and making their way up the trunk.

Where should you use it?

This artificial monstera plant would suit any interior whether it’s contemporary or a more vintage style. Display it among other plants for a cool jungle vibe or use it to breathe some ‘life’ into an empty corner. Sit it in your hallway, bedroom or living room for a large dash of authentic looking greenery.

The monstera vine is designed for indoor use only. Please do not use it outside as this may cause the foliage to discolour. For more information, read our guide to UV resistance.

When the artificial monstera vine arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. When your artificial monstera vine arrives at your doorstep, simply remove the packaging and recycle where possible.

In the case that your order arrives damaged, please let us know as soon as possible.

  3. Arrange
  4. When you unbox your new large artificial plant, you will need to assemble the plant. You may also be surprised to see its foliage looking rather bunched together. Once all the packaging has been removed, firmly bend each frond into a more natural position. You may also need to straighten any creases in the leaves by running your hands over them. Any creases that remain should drop out over the next week. You can use photos of a natural monstera to help or our photos above.

For more help, watch our handy video guide.

  5. Re-pot
  6. This gorgeous large leafed houseplant would look amazing in a larger more decorative planter. Although it comes pre-potted in a small black planter, this is only designed to keep the tree safe and supported in transit. We suggest choosing a pot that is 5-10 cm larger than its starter pot. This will give the tree more stability and help to pull off the look.

To re-pot your tree, place your starter pot into your new planter, fill in any gaps with sand or soil and top with decorative stones. For more details, watch our guide to potting artificial plants.

What about on-going maintenance?

There’s no need to water, feed, prune or re-pot your tree (huzzah!) instead, simply wipe down the leaves with a damp cloth from time to time to remove any dust.

Did you know?

There are many theories as to why the monstera deliciosa’s leaves feature its iconic splits, but the main one suggests that the splits increase the surface area, allowing the plant to capture more sunlight through the rainforest canopy.
