Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

The monstera deliciosa or swiss cheese plant as it’s also known, is 120cm (4ft) tall. It measures approximately 40cm wide depending on how you choose to arrange the foliage. It comes pre-potted into a small black travel pot which should be replanted into something larger and more decorative.

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

The stem on this tropical beauty is coated in soft, authentic looking coir which helps to support the foliage. The leaves recreates the same waxy feel and glossy look seen on a natural monstera plant and comes in several sizes and natural shades of green to replicate new growing leaves at the top of the plant.

Where should you put it?

Monstera deliciosa’s look striking against white walls. You can also use the monstera for some simple greenery to accompany a bold interior. Pot it up into a larger planter or basket and use it in the corner of your bedroom or lounge for long lasting lifelike colour in your home.

When the monstera deliciosa arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. Your monstera deliciosa will arrive safely and securely in a strong cardboard box. The pot and foliage may be wrapped in additional protection which should be recycled.

In the unlikely event that your artificial monstera deliciosa arrives damages, please contact us as soon as possible.

  3. Arrange
  4. When you first unbox your tree you will notice that the foliage is pointing upright. This is where it has been packed tightly to prevent any damages in transit. You will need to spend a couple of minutes rearranging the foliage until you are happy with its appearance. To do this, you can use our images above or find a photo of a real monstera plant for guidance. For more information, read our guide to arranging artificial plants here.

  5. Finishing touches
  6. After you’ve unboxed and arranged your tree, we recommend re-potting it into a larger and more attractive planter. Doing so will improve the overall look of your artificial plant and provide it with more stability. To do this, put your tree and starter pot into your new larger pot, fill around the edges with earth or sand and top with decorative stones. For more information, read our potting guide here.

What about ongoing maintenance?

A real cheese plant can grow up to 65ft tall! Luckily our artificial monstera deliciosa will stay as its stated size and won’t need cutting back, watering or re-potting. The only thing you may need to do is occasionally wipe each leaf with a wet wipe or damp cloth to remove any build-up of dust. This will keep your monstera looking shiny and healthy.

Did you know?

The monstera deliciosa plant flowers in its natural habitat. It’s rare to see this indoors and the fruit is said to taste like a combination on banana, pineapple and mango.
