Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

The artificial lucky tree stands at approximately 100cm tall measured from the ground upwards, 56cm wide and comes pre-potted in a small black starter pot measuring 14cm (h) x 18cm (Ø). The height and width of the foliage can vary depending on the way you arrange it.

The tree has three thick stems from which sprout several smaller branches each holding seven large green leaves in various shades of green.

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

The faux lucky tree features two tone foliage which creates the appearance of new growth and adds to the trees authenticity. Each frond has an internal wire which allows you to bend the foliage into a more natural position until you’re happy with the trees overall look. The leaves are detailed with small intricate veins that fade out into a lighter shade of green around the edges and the stems are manufactured using quality, durable plastic.

Where should you put it?

The lucky tree is designed for indoor use only which is where its natural counter-part survives best. Pot it up in a large decorative planter and use in your kitchen, lounge, hallway or bedroom. For a more natural look, try using it in your bathroom as money trees love humid environments.

When the lucky tree arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. Your faux lucky tree will arrive safely in a strong cardboard box. The pot and foliage may be wrapped in additional protection which can usually be recycled. When you receive your order, open the box and remove your tree.

  3. Arrange
  4. Once you’ve removed the tree from its box you may be surprised to find the foliage slightly bunched together. Don’t be alarmed as this is normal with most artificial trees and is only a result of it being packed tightly to keep it safe. To correct this, spend some time firmly bending out the fronds and leaves until you’re happy with its appearance. You can use our photos above as a guide or for more information read our guide to arranging artificial plants here.

  5. Finishing Touches
  6. After arranging your tree we recommend re-potting it. Although it’s pre-potted in a small starter pot, we think putting it in a larger more attractive planter finishes off the overall look, helps it blend into your existing interior decor and gives the tree some more stability. To do this, simply put the tree and starter pot into your new planter, fill any gaps with sand or soil and top with some decorative stones. Watch our video guide here for more help.

What about ongoing maintenance?

Natural money trees require regular watering and feeding once a month. Over-watering and too much sunlight is a common cause of problems including root rot. They can also suffer with scale insects, mealybugs and aphids which will need to be treated.

Our artificial lucky tree is a simple way to save time and money while still benefitting from the joys of beautiful greenery in your home. There’s no need to water, feed or train it and yet it will still look amazing throughout the year. The only thing you may need to do is quickly dust the foliage to remove any build-up of dirt or debris.

Did you know?

Money trees are often popular gifts and frequently used in office and home décor as they are rumoured to bring luck and prosperity to the owner.
