Reviews & Questions

Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

The prickly artificial finger cactus measures approximately 45cm tall and 20cm wide. It features four deep green spikey fingers and is pre-potted into a small black starter pot.

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

This stylish faux cactus is a lifelike representation of the real thing. Each of its fingers is deep green, turning darker towards the centre and bare small spines that would naturally repel any predators.. Our artificial finger cactus is manufactured using superior materials for a top quality finish and could easily be mistaken for the real thing.

Where should you put it?

Natural cacti grow all over the world from Canada to tropical rainforests so their ideal environment can vary. They can be a little needy. Too much sun will cause them to burn while sometimes too little and they can stretch.

To keep your faux finger cactus looking authentic, you should put it in indirect sunlight as this is where it would grow best naturally. This may be on a window sill, sitting on your kitchen table or in your conservatory.

When the finger cactus arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. Your artificial cactus will arrive securely packed into a strong cardboard box. The pot and foliage may be packed in additional protection which can usually be recycled. When your order arrives, open the box and remove your plant.

  3. Plant
  4. The finger cactus has been pre-potted into a small black starter pot. We recommend that you re-pot it into a larger more attractive planter. This will help it to blend into your existing décor and make it seem like it’s been growing there for years. You can use your own pot or choose one of our premium plastic planters here.

To re-pot your faux cactus, simply put the starter pot into your new larger planter, fill in any gaps with sand or soil and top with some decorative stones. For further guidance, watch our video guide here.

What about ongoing maintenance

Real cacti need watering and feeding at least once a week. Instead, the artificial finger cactus frees up your time and saves you money in the long run. The only thing you need to do is occasionally clean it to remove any build-up of dust and keep it looking authentic.

Did you know

Some cacti have certain acoustic properties, meaning you can actually play the cactus!
