Reviews & Questions

Here's Everything You Need To Know

What options are there?

The artificial aloe vera measures 32cm tall and 18cm wide. It comes pre-potted in a small black pot measuring 11cm wide by 10cm tall and features several pointed succulent leaves.

Will you be able to tell it’s not real?

The faux aloe vera’s leaves vary in size with a textured feel that adds to its realism. Each leaf is thick and comes in a natural shade of green that turns lighter on the younger shoots. This artificial houseplant is manufactured using strong durable plastic for a high quality finish that makes it indistinguishable from the real thing.

Where should you use it?

The natural aloe vera plant isn’t particularly hard against cold and any frost will cause the roots to die, therefore it’s usually grown as a houseplant.

As the aloe vera has pointed leaves, it is considered a protective barrier in the realms of Feng Shui and so it’s often used near windows. Our artificial aloe vera is designed for indoor use only and would suit a coffee table, window sill, or sideboard.

Use it in your own low maintenance indoor rockery or pot it up in its own planter for (terracotta style pots would naturally make the perfect companion for an aloe vera plant, as they dry out quicker!)

When the aloe vera arrives, this is what you need to do:

  1. Unpack
  2. Your aloe vera will arrive securely packed in a strong cardboard box. Upon its arrival, open the box and remove the aloe vera.

If your aloe vera arrives damaged, please let us know a soon as possible.

  3. Re-pot
  4. Although the aloe vera comes pre-potted in a small black pot, we think it looks much nicer and more authentic when re-potted into something more decorative.

To re-pot your aloe vera, choose a suitable pot slightly bigger than the size of its existing black planter. You can use one you have at home or choose from our range of premium plastic planter here. Once you’ve chosen your new pot, put your aloe vera and its black starter pot inside. (Please don’t try to remove the aloe vera from its black pot as this may damage it!) Fill in any gaps with sand or soil and top with either more earth or decorative stones.

What about ongoing maintenance?

Naturally the aloe vera plant requires well drained soil and a bright sunny spot to grow, otherwise it will become dormant. As with most succulents, it doesn’t appreciate strong direct sunlight and if its soil isn’t left to dry out, the roots will rot.

The good news is our artificial aloe vera plant will still look amazing no matter where you use it within your home or office. The only thing you need to do is clean it from time to time to prevent any build-up of dust from spoiling your secret.

For information on how to clean your artificial plants, read our guide here.

Did you know?

The aloe vera plant is 99% water. Its gel contains two powerful chemicals that increase cellular movement, dull pain and control inflammation. In other words it’s effective against small cuts, first and second degree sunburn and irritation.
