Business development executive

Location: Gt Yarmouth / hybrid remote

Salary: £25-35k DOE

We're looking for a business development executive to proactively develop our B2B sales channel, providing medium and large sized businesses across various sectors with artificial planting solutions.

We're looking for a business development executive to proactively build our B2B sales channel, providing medium and large sized businesses across various sectors with artificial planting solutions.

You’ll be responsible for all incoming commercial enquiries. You’ll speak to customers directly; quickly working to build rapport, understand their budget and project needs. You’ll then use your extensive product knowledge and creativity to craft presentations and quotes, which you’ll pitch to the customer.

You’ll also be responsible for researching and building a tailored target customer list who will be targeted with individual marketing to drive future enquiries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and organise inbound business enquiries

  • Build rapport with customers and understand their project needs

  • Produce pitch decks / sales presentations

  • Delivering pitch decks to win new business

  • Research potential trade and commercial customers and target with direct mail

  • Professional brand ambassador at all times

The role reports directly to the MD, is highly autonomous and will have responsibility for manging major customers. The role will be supported by colleagues in customer service, purchasing and marketing.

About you:

You’ll be personable and able to rapidly build strong relationships with potential customers. You’ll be able to quickly understand the customer’s needs; crafting ideas and solutions, creating presentations and pitching to the customers.

  • Confident and personable

  • Able to present to groups of people remotely and in-person

  • Creative eye and interest in interior design

  • Organised and able to self-manage workload to meet deadlines

  • Strong computer skills

We’re looking for a unique blend of drive, personality, creativity and ambition. Therefore, no prior or specific work experience is required.

We offer:

  • Salary range: £25-£35k

  • Full time 39 hours p/w

  • An initial holiday allowance of 25 days plus an additional day for each year for the first five years up to 30 days/year. Thereafter an additional half a day each year with no upper limit
